 General

  • Tickets for the school musical The Wizard of Oz Are now available in the Drama Room. The musical performs at the MET, Tonight & Saturday,  and January 23, 24, 25. Doors open at 7, and the show begins at 7:30. There are matinees on Saturday & January 25 with doors at 1:30 and curtain at 2. General Admission tickets are $14, and students are $12. Have a great day, see you at the play!

 

  • This March, Bear Stage presents Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, directed by senior Taylor Wilson. Auditions are open to everyone! Try-outs are January 21st & 22nd after school in the Drama Room. Callbacks will be Thursday, January 23rd. See Mrs. Paxton Jeffries in Room 403 for more info.

 

  • The FALL 2024 CSF application window for ALL STUDENTS is open today through next Friday. Please visit the BHS CSF webpage or speak with your English teacher or your counselor to access the application Google Form. See Mrs. Constable in room 151 with any questions!

 

  • Winter Formal ticket sales begin Tuesday. We would love for you to come to A Night for Kings & Queens on February 1st in the West Gym from 7-10pm. Guest passes are available now in Student Services. 

 

  • Attention Seniors! Grad Nite tickets are available for purchase now on Revtrak. Tickets are almost sold out, so purchase yours today! 

 

Counseling and Career Center

Please sign up in the Counseling Center to see college or military Reps! 

  • Want to learn about what the military can do for you, go talk to Mrs. Rowland in the Counseling Center.

 

  • Are you interested in cosmetology or barber school? Paul Mitchell will be here next week.

 

  • Fresno State School of Nursing is proud to offer an undergraduate program which leads to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a post-baccalaureate School Nurse Services Credential Program, a graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice program. They will be here Thursday

 

  • The Counseling Center would like to remind you to make sure you complete and submit your FAFSA. All Seniors must apply before the March 2, 2025 deadline.  
  • Are you interested in learning more about CTE/ROP Programs like Digital Photo, Medicine, Engineering, Culinary Arts, Education, Veterinary Science, Fire Fighting, etc.?  If so, sign up for the CTE Field Trip in the Counseling Center.  This is open to current 9-11th graders and turning in your permission slip secures your spot.  Seats are limited.

 

  • The district-wide Latino Student Success Conference will be held on March 3rd at Clovis North. All students are welcome to attend. The goal of this conference is to provide inspiration for students to pursue goals beyond high school.  Students will have the opportunity to meet people who persevered and became successful, visit with college representatives and other post-graduate options.  Enjoy lunch and entertainment.  Come to the counseling center for an application and direct all questions to Miss Salazar or Mr. Felix!  Space is limited so sign up soon!

 

Home Athletics this week:

Tonight come support Basketball as they take on Clovis West! Varsity Boys @ 5:30, Varsity Girls @ 7pm! It’s red out!! So wear your RED!!!

 

Tryouts for JV softball will begin on Tuesday at 3:45 for all girls interested. Frosh/Soph Tryouts will begin on Tuesday February 4th .  If you have any questions see Coach Hall in student services or email Coach Gregory or Coach Hall with questions.

Boys’ volleyball tryouts are Jan 27th.  If you are interested in playing, you must speak with coach Jay in the boys pe office.

BHS Badminton Tryouts will be held on Friday, January 31, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM in the West Gym. All students interested in joining the badminton team, including returning players, must attend. If you are unable to make it but want to play, please email Coach Andrew Orloski at AndrewOrloski@cusd.com . We look forward to seeing you there!

 

On Wednesday Buchanan will host Clovis High for The Big One. Tuesday, be on the lookout for Buchanan Wrestlers on the amphitheater @ lunch selling tickets. The first 100 students to purchase tickets will get a FREE T-SHIRT to wear to the Dual!
