General

September is Suicide Awareness Month, and the CDC reports that suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in teens. It is important to be aware of others’ situations, spread positivity, and be mindful of when we need to ask for help. Buchanan’s Mental Health Fair will be tomorrow at lunch. Organizations like All-4-Youth, Ascend Behavioral Health, Clovis PD, and more will have booths in the amphitheater. Come by and learn about mental health, suicide awareness, and how awareness leads to prevention.

Interested in joining Youth Court? Pick up, complete, and submit your application ASAP. Only 20 spots are available; first come, first served!

Do you have an idea for a club that you did not see at Club Rush? Then create one! Stop by the Activities Office anytime before school, after school, or at lunch in order to pick up a petition to start a new club. The deadline to start a new club is Oct. 1st.

October is coming, and pink out shirts are available NOW! Purchase them online through RevTrak before this Friday to have them before the Pink Out Football Game on Oct. 2nd. You can find the Revtrak link to order on the BHS website, and your shirt will be delivered to you during your 3rd or 4th period once it arrives.

Attention all baseball players… Fall baseball tryouts will be Monday @ 4:00 on the varsity baseball field.

Military Appreciation Fair: Thursday at lunch
- Please come and learn about all branches of the military, and of course, always thank the military for their service.

- Pepperdine University, Fresno Pacific University, Hillsdale College, USC and so many more
