Scholarship and Financial Aid Information
Scholarships are a great way to earn money for college. Even if you're planning to attend community college, students need money for books and other school-related expenses. It truly pays to apply for scholarships! Look through the resources below for options. As a reminder, you should never pay to apply for a scholarship.
CLOVIS UNIFIED SCHOLARSHIP PAGE – The CUSD Scholarship page was created to ensure that all CUSD Seniors have equal access to local and national scholarships. Go to this page to find information on the CUSD Scholarship List, Local Scholarship Opportunities, and Scholarship Search Engines.
BUCHANAN SCHOLARSHIP BULLETIN – The Bear Scholarship Bulletin will be updated throughout the year. Currently, it lists similar scholarships from the CUSD scholarship list; however, it will soon list Buchanan-specific scholarships such as feeder school scholarships, memorial scholarships, and Buchanan Foundation scholarships only open to Buchanan Seniors. These scholarships are usually available beginning in December or the start of the second semester.

Financial Aid & FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an application used to determine a student’s eligibility for federal, state, and school financial aid (grants, scholarships, work-study funds, loans). This year’s high school seniors (Class of 2027) are able to start their 2027-28 FAFSA application on October 1, 2026. Students must submit their FAFSA by the priority deadline of March 2, 2027 for maximum Cal Grant consideration.
Students and families are invited to attend any of the Financial Aid workshops that are being hosted at all of the Clovis Unified high schools before the March 2 priority deadline.
