Mission Statement

The mission of the Buchanan High School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of every student. The Counseling Department, along with a collaborative effort from the school, family and community will provide every student with opportunities to acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes to understand how to connect their knowledge to the global community, utilize their skills as critical and creative thinkers, to practice a work ethic for a productive future, to contribute to their community and to become lifelong learners in a global society.
