Buchanan High School has a history of culture of military service from its alumni and community members. We pride ourselves on making sure to expose students to all opportunities available to them after high school. Throughout the school year representatives from every branch of the United States military will meet and present to interested students. If you would like more information about a career in the military, we encourage you to check out the Today's Military website, speak with your counselor, and sign up  Here (or in the Counseling and Career Center) to meet with a recruiter.

This free test (given to juniors and seniors) is administered on the Buchanan High School campus, followed a few weeks later by a meeting to review the results with various military recruiters.

Students will be able to sign up for the ASVAB in the Counseling and Career Center.

Air Force ROTC scholarship information 

There are five U.S. Service Academies. Please find their websites below as well as helpful videos and articles for applying to the academies. Remember, it is always best to reach out to the local representative for the academy and schedule a time to meet and discuss any questions you may have.

Some of the academies require a nomination by a students local member of Congress. For most students that is Representative Kevin McCarthy, please visit his website for details on requesting a nomination.
