Military Academies

There are four U.S. Service Academies that require a congressional nomination:

Military Academy nominations are made by members of the United States Congress. For Buchanan students that is Congressman Devin Nunes. Students may pick up a packet from Mr. Hodges if needed or download the application below.

Armed Services Vocational Battery Aptitude (ASVAB)

This free test, given to juniors and seniors, is administered on the Buchanan High School campus once per year in the fall, followed a few weeks later by a meeting to review the results.

The ASVAB was last administered on December 6, 2016. The meeting to review the results from this testing session was conducted the following month. The ASVAB will be adminsitered on the BHS campus again in December 2017.
