Military Academies

There are four U.S. Service Academies that require a congressional nomination:

Military Academy nominations are made by members of the United States Congress. For Buchanan students that is Congressman Devin Nunes. Students may download the application below.

Armed Services Vocational Battery Aptitude (ASVAB)

This free test, given to juniors and seniors, is administered on the Buchanan High School campus once per year in the fall, followed a few weeks later by a meeting to review the results.

The ASVAB will be administered on December 5, 2017. The meeting to review the results from this testing session will be conducted after Winter Break.

Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC)

Although Buchanan High School does not have an ROTC program on campus, students can refer to the following websites for more ROTC information:
