  • Attention Juniors and Seniors … Powderpuff signups begin Thursday in the Activities Office at lunch. If you missed the info meeting yesterday, pick up your permission slip in the Activities Office. A signed permission slip and money is the only way to sign up on Thursday. Sign-ups will begin at lunch; you can sign up for yourself +1. CART and ROP students should have a friend sign them up or come the next day.


  • TU, TH: Seniors, the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $1,200 per year, and is based on academics, leadership, and financial need. The deadline to apply is Monday, November 27, in the Counseling Center.


  • Attention 4th period classes … today is the first collection day for our Canned Food Drive. Leadership students will come to classes 4th period to count and collect cans. If you don’t have cans today, that’s ok … just make sure to bring them soon! The 4th period class that collects the MOST cans will win a FREE LUNCH PARTY!


  • Buchanan is in the middle of our Make-A-Wish collection. This year’s make a wish student is Buchanan senior Austin Hayward. Austin was diagnosed with a brain tumor last March and has undergone surgeries, chemo, and physical therapy at St. Jude’s Hospital ever since. We are raising money to grant Austin’s wish of traveling to Universal Studios in Orlando. Students will be collecting money on campus Thursday and Friday at lunch. Feel free to also drop off donations in the activities office.



  • Congratulations to BWP who defeated Menlo last night in the NorCal Regional Playoffs. Shout out to Kaleb Archer who tied the game 9-9 in overtime, and Gabe who scored the winning goal! The Bears won 10-9 and will take on Drake High School on Saturday.
  • Come support GVB as they compete in the state playoffs! The girls take on Valley Christian from San Jose in a home game TONIGHT Wednesday at 7pm at home. $5 for BHS Students with ID.
  • Good luck to Cross Country at the Valley Championships on Thursday at Woodward Park.
  • Friday night football continues in the valley playoffs. The Bears take on Edison on Friday. It’s a HOME game AT LAMONICA so we need you to come out and support.
